About us
OraForge is building software that works across Africa.
Production systems matter here — payments, logistics, healthcare, and the tools that keep organisations moving. We connect teams to software that holds up in the real world, not just in a demo.
Based in Nairobi, we work with clients across the continent on the same working day. Low digital and financial inclusion still leave room to build — and to ship systems people actually use.
- Nairobi
- Where we are based
- UTC+3
- Overlapping hours with most of the continent
- End to end
- Discovery through operating, one team
- Yours
- Code and infrastructure, from the first commit
What we believe
Four commitments we will be held to.
Most of what separates studios is invisible in a proposal. These are the parts you can actually check us on.
Say the inconvenient thing early
If the deadline is unrealistic or the approach is wrong, week one is when that is worth hearing. It costs us work and saves you money.
Build to hand over
Every engagement is written as though someone else will maintain it, because eventually someone will.
Small teams, short loops
Most delivery problems are communication problems wearing a technical costume.
Own nothing of yours
Your code, your infrastructure, your data. No proprietary framework you keep paying us for.
How we got here
The short version.
- Founded
Started as two people and a contract
One client, one system, and a decision to stay small enough that everyone stays close to the work.
- Early on
Settled on cycle-based delivery
After watching fixed-price quotes turn into renegotiations, we moved to pricing two weeks at a time.
- Growing
Went remote-first across the continent
Clients outside Nairobi made overlapping hours matter more than a shared office.
- Now
Design and engineering under one roof
The people who scope the work are the people who ship it. That is the whole operating model.
The team
Deliberately not filled in yet.
Needs real people. Team profiles require real names, photographs and biographies. Invented profiles or stock portraits are the fastest way to lose a serious client's trust, so this section stays empty until you supply the real thing.
